Go secretaries!
Holy crap, I've been productive for once! Yesterday I applied for a job at Tinseltown with a VERY American application form (it asked for my state and zip code and all that jazz, and then in the section that the interviewer fills out, they mark whether you're Black, Caucasian, Hispanic, Oriental or other), and today I called Dr. Lawson and Dr. Metzger to book appointments. My appointment with Dr. Lawson was successfully booked for Tuesday, but I got Dr. Metzger's answering machine, so I left a message saying that I wanted to book an appointment regarding testosterone hormone therapy. I just got a call back from his secretary a few moments ago.
"Hello, is there a Mrs. Anderson there?"
Come on, lady, just stop and think for TWO SECONDS. I know I sound really girly on the phone, but I specifically said that I was calling regarding testosterone hormone therapy. You know who calls an endocrinologist asking for testosterone? Girls who want to be boys, I do believe. Plus, Dr. Metzger is THE local endocrinologist for trans youth, so it's not like I'm the first transgendered individual to call the clinic. And do I seriously sound like a married middle-aged woman? Honestly?
All incorrect formalities aside, I couldn't book my appointment 'cause they need Dr. Lawson to fax them a copy of the referral letter first, which means that I won't be able to try again 'till next week. I'm a little worried about that, simply because it apparently can take months to get an appointment with this guy, but we'll see how it works out.
Also: Some dude got his head blown off right next to VanTech a few days ago. He wasn't a student, and it didn't look like a random attack, but he was just getting into his car and somebody shot him in the head. This isn't going to look good for VanTech's reputation, considering outsiders already tend to think of our school as "the place where people get shot." Up until now, I thought that rumor was full of bullshit, but now I can't really argue it, can I?
EDIT: I just finished arranging a time for Sarah to drop by before calling Micaila back in the time I have before I'm off to pick Brianne up from Tech.
Whoever says that you shouldn't remain friends with your exes is a DAMN FOOL. XD
